Service

A pool is only as good as the equipment running it and the care behind it. Blue Water Pools Construction & Services keeps pools across Southwest Florida operating the way they should — starting with new equipment installations. Whether you’re replacing a pump that’s failing, upgrading to a variable-speed model that cuts energy costs, adding a heater to extend your swimming season, or modernizing filtration, automation, lighting, and salt systems, our Senior Equipment Technician handles the install correctly the first time. We’re a Hayward Preferred Builder, which means we’re trained on the full Hayward line and have direct manufacturer support behind the equipment we install — so you get the right product specified for your pool, installed to manufacturer standards, with warranty coverage that holds up.

We’re also an NPT Certified Installer, and we back new and newly resurfaced finishes with a 30-day NPT start-up service. That first month matters more than most homeowners realize: the large majority of a plaster finish cures within roughly the first four weeks, and how the water is managed during that window determines how the surface looks and lasts for years — and typically whether the manufacturer’s warranty stays intact. Rather than handing you a chemistry chart and wishing you luck, our team manages the start-up ourselves — testing and balancing the water, brushing the surface, and bringing the pool online on the proper schedule. It’s the difference between a finish that stays smooth and true to color and one that shows problems within the first season. For service, repairs, or a new equipment quote, call 239-443-0548.

It means we're a recognized partner in Hayward's builder program — trained on their equipment line and backed by direct manufacturer support. Practically speaking, that gets you equipment specified correctly for your pool's size and demands, installed to Hayward's standards so warranty coverage isn't put at risk, and a faster path to resolution if a component ever needs manufacturer attention.

When a pool is newly plastered or resurfaced, the finish cures over roughly the first month — the majority of the curing happens in that window — and the water chemistry during those weeks permanently affects how the surface turns out. A proper start-up means daily testing and careful adjustment of pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness, brushing the surface to clear plaster dust, and bringing chlorine and equipment online on a specific schedule. Skipping it or doing it casually leads to staining, scaling, mottling, and a rough surface — and usually voids the finish warranty. As an NPT Certified Installer, we perform the start-up to specification so your finish is protected.

Repair usually makes sense for a single failed part on otherwise healthy equipment. Replacement makes more sense when a unit is failing repeatedly, when parts are no longer readily available, or when an older single-speed pump is costing you significantly more to run than a modern variable-speed unit would. We'll diagnose the actual problem and tell you honestly which way the math points rather than defaulting to the bigger sale.

Pumps — including energy-efficient variable-speed models — filters, heaters and heat pumps, salt chlorine generators, LED and color-changing lighting, automation and control systems, and cleaners. We'll assess your pool's size, features, and how you actually use it, then recommend equipment sized to match. Oversized or mismatched equipment is one of the most common issues we find on existing pools.

Call our service line directly at 239-443-0548 — it's staffed separately from our construction line so service calls get to the right team quickly.
